"The Connie Mack: A Community for Competition" is a look at the town of Farmington, NM, the home of the Connie Mack World Series. For the past 57 years, this small town has hosted an elite baseball tournament for the top 18-year-old baseball players in the country. Hall of Famers, Roberto Alomar, Craig Biggio, Wade Boggs, Rod Carew, Roy Halliday, Ken Griffey Jr, Rickey Henderson, Derek Jeter, Randy Johnson, Barry Larkin, Edgar Martinez, Eddie Murray, Mike Mussina, Cal Ripken Jr, Ivan Rodriguez, Ron Santo, Mike Schmidt, Tom Seaver, Ted Simmons, Ozzie Smith, John Smolt and Don Sutton have all played in the event. This tournament belongs to the town and cannot be replicated. The sixty-minute documentary brings both the event and town to life.
